The North west facing main bathroom has views of the lake and town, all bedrooms have heat pump air conditioning and access the deck that circles the home and continues over the sheltered garage area with views forever. These views are repeated from the ground floor Kitchen and open plan lounge with it's polished Rimu floor and Gas log fire heating, looking out through large tri-folding and tinted double glazed doors to the enlarged new fenced deck and the western bays of Lake Taupo, Acacia bay, and beyond. The paved Centennial walkway from Wharewaka point to Taupo pass the gate, and its an easy walk or cycle to Taupo's many cafe's, bars, and restaurants. Views to die for from the 4 upper floor double bedrooms, they have sarked wooden sloping ceilings, the Childproof upper deck runs completely around house to the large sheltered deck over 2+ car Garage area, and additional 2 car carage under the newly rebuilt lakeside deck. Gas heated and double glazed open plan lounge with superb views to the Snow covered Mountains across Lake Taupo from Dining/Pooltable area serviced by modern Kitchen with 6 burner double oven, Icemaking & water dispensing freezer, espresso coffee machine, Microwave, and dishwasher, pantry etc. and internal Garage access, monitored alarm. The master bedroom has bedside views forever across the lake, and has it's own onsuite bathroom with shower over bath, plus the main upstairs bathroom with shower services the remaining double rooms. The lower floor has a pine lined Bathroom with shower, all bathrooms have heated towel racks, the ground floor bathroom backs onto a modern laundry with automatic washer, dryer, super tub, ironing facilities and sheltered sunny clothes line area.

Large Lockwood house, 50 metres from the lake in a sheltered cul de sac at 2 Mile Bay, Taupo (4kms from Taupo township & regarded as one of the best locations in Taupo). Surrounded by the Coromandel Forest Park in a quiet cul-de-sac area with plenty of parking for cars and boat. Safe for children and pets. Straight out the door for a lovely walk in the bush to the Lookout. Wake up to the sound of native birds and tranquility. 5 - 10 mins walk downhill to Town and estuary and just 5 mins by car to surf beach.A lovely redecorated home with facilities upstairs and down to accommodate for two families or let the teenagers be self sufficient downstairs. Upstairs is an open plan living area and kitchen, with two daybed couches for extras if necessary, large 50 inch older TV, two bedrooms, the main bedroom with views, both with comfy queensize beds, bathroom and seperate toilet. Please note there is no dishwasher. Enjoy the Kiwi bach experience doing your dishes by hand, a flick of the tea towel and abit of a laugh while you look out to sea in the distance Downstairs consists of a near completed selcontained area, only the lining of the ceiling to complete, meaning you can still hear people walking around upstairs alittle. Not a big worry to us. Both up and down have cookers, just a small bench cooker down stairs, fridges, freezers etc, just alittle more simple downstairs. Washing machine and dryer downstairs, along with a bathroom with toilet, shub/shower and two good size bedrooms. One fully furnished with queensize bed and the other consisting of a set of bunks and two single beds. All clean and comfortable. Also in the downstairs living area is a pullout double couch for extras. TV downstairs and extra TV's for bedrooms. This is a lovely place to come to relax and enjoy what Tairua has to offer as well as visiting the near by hotspots, including Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, Hahei beach and Pauanui. Tairua is renown for good surf, safe swimming in the beautiful estuary and harbour, get the teenagers to check out the river and water hole. Fish around the beautiful islands of Shoe and Slipper or take a boat trip to the Alderman Islands for snorkelling and diving. Check out the shops and enjoy a meal at one of the many cafes or restaurants.

Situated half-way (200m) between the beach and the shopping centre, the Hawley's Guesthouse is ideal for those who enjoy extra space and comfort. The house was completed in mid 2000, replacing the old bach which the Hawleys owned for just on thirty years. The purpose built two double bedrooms share a spacious en-suite and take up all of the second storey at the rear of the house. The larger room has a balcony and a queen sized double bed, and the smaller room two single beds. A cot is available.
