Warm north facing holiday home for rent. Has wonderful views to the lake and bush. There is a new 40 TV and WIFI for your use. The kitchen had a water filter and there is unlimited hot water (gas). An HRV system is installed for fresh air. One bedroom has a super king bed if required, but unzips to two singles. Lovely balcony with swing seat to relax on and look at the lake view. Motuoapa is a sheltered area on the Eastern Shore of Lake Taupo and usually a few degrees warmer than Taupo town.Motuoapa marina is only 3 mins drive away. Handy location to Whakapapa ski field, the Tongariro river for trout fishing, Lake Taupo for swimming and boating, Kaimnawa Forest Park, many bush and lake walks, Tokaanu thermal hot pools and of course Tongariro National Park.Taupo is only 30 minutes drive and Turangi 12 minutes drive where there is New World supermarket, Genesis Energy swimming pool complex and small shopping centre with cafes.Tennis court and children's play area in walking distance. Licorice cafe only a few minutes walk away.Relax and take in the everchanging views of our wonderful lake and bush. You have arrived at The Retreat in Upper Pukawa Bay, a 2 minute drive down to the fabulous Pukawa beach on Lake Taupo, a 45 minute drive to either Taupo City or Mount Ruapehu if skiing or doing the Tongariro Crossing walk, takes your fancy.This modern bach is tucked away with several other homes on a private 6 hectare native bush block. The bush is full of the sounds and sights of the native birds that are in the area. The bach is open plan and very comfortable with modern furnishings and convenient heat-pump. There is a large deck to sit and relax with your wine complete with BBQ.There is also a large shared pool on the property if you don't feel like going down to the beach. This place is awesome!!! We found it hard to leave:) & will be back for sure! Great place to stay you will not be disappointed highly recommend had a wonderful time. would recommend to anyone wishing to make this as a base for fishing and doing the alpine cross. Lovely atmosphere. we all had a good time at the bach thanks. The house was suitable for the children and Adults. I wish we could of stayed longer. It was great to have two bathrooms and the views were to die for even though I live with a view that overlooks the Cookstraight. Loved it, lived it and intend to use it again.

Everything is supplied - linen, crockery, clean towels daily. Three bedrooms and a bathroom are also available in the main residence, a modern, brick home. There is also a Jacuzzi for your private use.
